Need software for Dvd to SD?

I recentlly purchased a new pc as well as a portable reader or tablet, so I'm not looking to just download any of the diseased free junk that's out there.
I'm looking for a software of which can be used to convert DVD to MPEG-4, in order to turn my DVD collection into an SD Card collection.
That being said there is a lot of junk that claims to be the magic button.



Need easy to operate no brainer item, can anyone point me in the correct direction?

P.S. Looking for Hardcopy , out of the box , retail. No loads spooky download stuff.

 

Handbrake, but i guess not cause its a diseased free program. Go buy what ever crap you think might work, just because your turning down very valid free downloads. Oh well good luck.

 

I still use AutoGK because it provides very good quality rips. I've not tried handbrake although I've heard it is good and probably more actively developed.

WinAvi is the big commercial one that claims to be fast but I don't think the quality of the rips is that great.

Dlb, an MG regular who test a lot of these type programs, seems to like DVDFab if I remember correctly. I believe the paid version of that program includes a decrypting program that is a necessary step for ripping. You would have to read the features.

It is probably worth going to a few websites of the programs you are considering and reading the how-to's with screen shots to see if you like the interface before purchasing.
