Need some back up help

I was recommend cobian back-up software but can't seem to get it to work properly and no one in the cobian forum cares to help.

The back-up is taking way to long.

Basically I am backing up one external drive to another external drive.

After the first back-up I knew it would take a long time since its nearly 3 tb. Now I wanted it to only back-up and delete the files that have been changed and remove the deleted files.

For some reason I think it backing up every file again? It is taking nearly 33 hours to do each back-up.

Any help would be great.

If you have used cobian and think I am doing something wrong then any help would be welcome. If not and you can recommend software that is fine.

I have never heard of cobian. Myself (and many friends) have used Acronis True Image Home for many years; it can make an initial full backup (into a highly compressed backup file), then take incremental backups on a regular basis.

But backing up 3TB will take a long time, whatever backup software is used.

 

Second Copy is also very good. http://www.secondcopy.com. It's about $25.
It will copy only changes and can also keep source and target in sync. Delete from target or source and the next time SecondCopy runs both target and source locations will be back in sync.
