    Hi Guys,
I am running a desktop, Laptop, PS3, and an Ipod touch off of a Linksys WRT54G and a Speedstream 5100 Ethernet ADSL Modem with Windows XP.

We are constantly having to reload web pages, even homepage ( Google Chrome and IE ) My brother in law who is somewhat computer savy, tells me that we are using alot of bandwidth, therefore the slow connection. Is he correct? Would a Linksys 3000 be more bandwidth friendly or Would it be a modem problem?
Thank you for all your replies.

    Hi

Have you checked for any firmware updates to the Linksys and Speedstream?

Both the Laptop and Desktop are XP and what Service Packs are they?

What I would try is just the desktop on its own and with no other of the devices connected see how the internet pages go for speed?

Then start adding and using one item at a time, as you may find a culprit, doubt it will be the ipod though.

Is anyone streaming music, video of playing as in the PS3 online games? as these will suck up all your bandwidth and not much you can do then as ou would need a quicker internet package.

No sadly you could add better modems and routers but this wont add to the internet bandwidth you have from your ISP.
