I am using Windows XP and lately out of nowhere, my computer will either freeze up completely ( where I have to restart it) or it will just reboot itself. I have noticed that when it reboots, I see something that says No 80 IDE cable installed. When it does boot back up, I continually get a box that says it cannot find the RUNDLL. And then I get the obvious error reporting thing and it always says to try to update my drivers. I have gone to the Nvidia site and updated that one. Any other thoughts? I have no clue what else I could try to do.

Thanks in advance for any help

The easiest and cheapest fix, put a new IDE cable in and see if the freezing and rebooting stops. If not, then it is time to run tests on the hd to see if it is failing.
