    Hi:
I need some networking tips on connecting/configuring 2 computers.
I plan on changing my present (WinXP HE SP2) computer by installing MS MCE2005 (WinXP Pro SP2) clean.
I am building a new computer as my main one with WinXP Pro SP2 clean.

Since both of these computers are in the same room, I can connect with hard wire instead of wireless so I will.

    Related gear:

Alcatel Speed Touch Home external ADSL modem
D-Link DI-804HV Express EtherNetwork 4-Port Broadband VPN Router

    Main System:
AMD Athlon 64 FX-55 CPU retail
    2GB DDR
Motherboard: GigaByte GA-K8NXP-9 Socket 939 (nForce4 Ultra chipset)
CICADA8201 Gigabit LAN PHY chip/RJ45 port
Printer: Epson Stylus Photo R300 USB2
    Scanner: Canon D1250U2F USB2

    MS MCE2005 System:
    P4 2.8GHz/533MHz FSB retail
    1GB PC1066 RIMMs
    Motherboard: Asus P4T533-C s478/i850e
    Intel 82562ET PHY/RJ45 port

I am the only one with access to both of these XP Pro SP2 computers and therefore the only user.
Sharing the internet connection (ISP issues a dynamic IP address) and file sharing are paramount.
Printer sharing would be handy unless complex to install.

The Pro version of XP, networking and using a router are new to me.

What is the best (simplest) way to connect/configure these new, clean install systems?

Thanks in advance for any help, suggestions, tips or links,
