need some help with my laptop,

    I am having problems with my Dell computer.

    1.the media player seems to be playing up, when I try and download a film clip, it seems to freeze, and I get an error report, apologizing for system error, and having to close internet explorer and media player.

    2. My computer seems to freeze, every sunday about 12.00., cursor freezes, and I get one bleep and then it freezes.

    I hope somebody out there can help..

    I run anti virus software, downloaded updates every day.
    I download all windows updates etc.

    Carefully go through all your security programs and see if anything is set to update and/or scan at 12 (not sure if this is noon or midnight) on Sunday.
