first of all, thanks for helping me.
i live in an area that has alot of wireless access point. i have my own wireless router and i want to stay with my own internet access point, but this stupid window xp won't let me. it kept on switching to other people's wireless access point. how do i stop this? my wireless access poit works perfectly fine. but when i connect to it for like 2 mins, it switches to other people's wireless connection. this is annoying, and i don't think im the only guy who have this kind of problems. thanks again for helping me.

Have you tried un-ticking the 'Let windows choose my settings' box in the Properties of your network card?

One thing you can do or at least should do with wireless is use WEP (Wired Equvilent Privacy). It shoud be covered in your AP's book and your cards. You set up an algorithm that no one else has and that way you will only associate with your AP and no one else can associate to yours. Its for security mostly, but it will solve you roaming as well. If you need help on how to set it up, let know.
