Need some help

    Hey everyone, Im about at my wits end with this.

    I am usually pretty good at getting my system cleaned up and running smooth, but after installing McAfee free for DoD members software and finding lots of trojans and spyware and the such.. it didnt seem to help. I still get freaking pop ups for AOL, I dont use any of their software.. it seems like it takes my computer longer to boot up.. when I click on IE it takes a few seconds to pop up and it nvr did b4.

    Also, when im running alot of my games, every 2-3 min or so I get a second or 2 of stutter.. It nvr did that before, and its on games that dont require a beast video card or anything like that.

    Could use some help if anyone has any ideas.

    Dang.. just noticed someone posted about Noadware being no good.. oh well, there goes 29.95 ><

    I don't know what "McAfee free for DoD members software" is. Yes I know what McAfee is but what is McAfee free for DoD members? Note: typically anything the comes for free quite often comes with baggage you don't want. The popups for AOL may be related to the free install.

    At anyrate, McAfee is a pretty big resource hog. If you are having problems with it and you were not having problems before, you should uninstall it and get a better and less resource hungry free virus application like one of these:

    Yes get rid of NoAdware its on our fake spyware remover list. Ad-aware and SpyBot are much better and are free.
