Need Something New

I need something new to do to my computer.. im all out of ideas and i am getting bored with my PC

 

Thats usually when I step out and get some UV radiation.

When you are bored with your PC, thats your brain telling you that you need to get out more.

After all, a computer is just a tool.

Well, what have you done so far? You modded? if not, why not! installing a window is good fun. maybe some lights if you havnt already? rounded cables? SATA hard drives? make a RAID configuration? Maybe somthing software? Do a dual boot with linux? New sound setup? new sound card perhaps?

 

Any good modding ideas for computer,keyb,mouse, ect.. .anything that is cheap and not super hard?

What about making a LCD display for the case? fairly cheap. In fact, a simple window is fairly cheap too, all it is is a piece of clear acrylic and some edging.

Fans are pretty cheap? add a side blowhole perhaps? put some ducting in so the exhaust of your CPU fan goes straight out the side?

What about sticking a few ultrabrite LEDs in your keyboard? I might do that myself. But then, my keyboard is translucent. What about a transulcent keyboard? mine is a nice purple colour. A new mouse?

What about some teflon tape for your mouse? nice little mod that I use, makes the mouse slide very well! good for gaming! Go HERE to get some. Nice and cheap

how would you go about adding the lcd display... and how would you get it to display anything?

 

i don't know what lcd goldy is talking about, but there are the matrix orbital lcd's that display via serial, parallel, or usb port, and you program them. they are not cheap, tho.

no more fans...what you have is fine for cooling, as long as they are pointed the correct position (front are intake and rear are exhaust).

lets see...i just got that case, but its a chaintec model. before i put everything in it, i painted the inside to match the outside...that was cheap, and i don't have that bare metal 'unfininshed' look...i've also got a blue light, my cables are sleeved with this stuff [http://store6.yimg.com/I/svcompucycle_1795_112893867], i've got these round cables [http://store6.yimg.com/I/svcompucycle_1795_118660173], and i put an alternative switch under that door that houses the front usb ports.
