Need To Download All W7 Drivers

Please don't send this to the malware section. I am PAST that now. I'm only able to use safe mode with internet. So I am going to reinstall W7.

Meanwhile, I need to access the OS to protect files by moving them to a new HD that's on its way.

My problem appears to be meddling with my drivers. Some have been disconnected, and a few have been entirely deleted. I try to reinstall a driver, I'm told it worked, then if I try it again, it says it worked, when it should say it is already up to date. So I need to download all the drivers that come with the OS.

I think (hope) I can get back into windows if I can.
I know some things about drivers from my days using W98. But I need to know where I can obtain and download them, and then where to put them on my system, and then how to make sure they can be installed properly.

So that is the help I need: getting the full bunch of W7 drivers and getting them to work. I think that will get me back into windows.

But I can't just go back to using it normally. The hack was very sophisticated and widespread on my OS. It has more control over my PC than I do. I try to do something and then it thwarts me. I MUST format and reinstall W7.
When I put my videos on my new HD, how likely is it that infections and hacks will move there also?

Can you guide me into replacing these drivers? I'd also appreciate a recommendation about security - they know my IP, so I must change that. But shouldn't I also get a router, or a VPN or a proxy? Help me choose, please.

    Thank you.

I bought this PC used. It had W7 already on it, but I didn't get the disk. I have no clue what my motherboard even IS, because I can't access BIOS.
I went to Microsoft and found my copy of W7 isn't official. So I'm buying the OS ASAP. Since I'm in Mexico, that isn't easy to do. And I WILL NOT buy it online. I want a disk and a manual.
So I think I must preserve my data now, on safe mode. If I attach the new separate HD, can I transfer files to it while I'm in safe mode? Does the new HD have to have Windows on it, or can both drives be in safe mode while I move files?
i'd rather not use the command line, because it's so difficult, but if it's my only option, I guess I'll have to.
My urgent need is to save my videos and text files, and an occasional program installer.
Will I be able to do that IN SAFE MODE once I have the new HD?
    That would solve my problem.
    Thanks.
Also, can you recommend one of the security options I mentioned earlier? All I use is an antivirus and Zone Alarm. Obviously not enough.

    Questions:
    1. Why can't you access BIOS?
    2. Can you find a tech around to install a legit copy of W7? You can ask the tech to create for you an installation disk of your version of Windows 7 (whichever you buy). Have him write the key on the disk cover. Just make sure the tech is reputable and licensed if you go this route. Otherwise, you will have to find a legit and working disk version of Windows 7. As you mentioned, these aren't easy to find.
    3. There are boot disks like these:

You just burn the iso to disk for these and boot into the disk. One of these is great to have around no matter what. Can you burn to a disk from safe mode? If so, one of these can help you with retrieving files.

    4. All of the above will help. If you don't have a router, it will give you an extra layer of protection, so that you can set up a home network, etc. Highly recommend working behind a router for sure.

Comodo Firewall is amazing, but be willing to learn as you go. It takes a year or longer to master the program, but you can trust Comodo's defaults. Being new to the program, you could turn off HIPS and just make sure Auto-Contain is enabled. Then I would enable all of the options in Advanced Protections->Miscellaneous->Do command line analysis for certain applications. Click on certain applications and turn on all the switches. Avast Free is a great companion for Comodo Firewall. If you try Avast, in Settings->General, enable Hardened Mode. I have it set to Aggressive on one PC, and it doesn't hassle me much. Avast is a really excellent free a-v with its cloud analysis.

Hard to advise on VPN. My impression is that you get what you pay for, so I would be careful. I honestly feel that it couldn't hurt if someone is directly accessing your computer, however, even if you go with say Windscribe or another of the services with free offers.

A very good practice is to make sure you create a Windows password when you install Windows. Also, running in a limited rights account is a very good idea too. Don't delete or change your admin account created when you install Windows. Name it normally as your main account during installation and then use it to create a separate Limited Rights account. Then set a password for the limited rights account too and use that account. Also, I set UAC to the highest setting. This is good policy in my opinion. Lots of malware can't run in a Limited rights account, and UAC will be your friend to make sure only apps you know can edit main system files. It's underrated imo...

  5. This is how you can get a genuine copy of Windows 7 from Microsoft. Hope this helps.

The link above is from a 2013 post and all the download links have been broken. There is no digitalriver download available and hasn't been for more than a year.

MajorGeeks has a program that does work
    http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/microsoft_windows_iso_download_tool.html

Note: the tool is updated almost monthly and you need NET framework 4.6 installed for it to work (if I remember correctly).

I used the tool in the past before the NET 4.6 requirement to download Windows 7 ISOs as backups.

  7. I have looked at this program and looks promising with the other versions of Windows but they have discontinued Windows 7 and its versions. I found that the above link I mentioned is really the only way to get a copy besides a file sharing website.

When I click the links for Windows 7, this is what I get. win7_link.jpg
    in Palemoon.
This is what I get in IE11.

If you get a working download link, please post a picture so I can see what I'm supposed to see.
