Need To Find Deleted Pictures.

I was doing a little cleaning on my computer's hard drive and deleted some pictures from a car show that i went to plus some pictures downloaded from the net. I put them in the recycle bin and then cleaned the recycle bin out. I was told that the computer keeps all pictures you put on it or downloaded from the net regaurdless if you delete them or not. So how do i go in and find my pictures? Thanks!

Thanks. That worked but for some reason Windows won't open the file that i found. Now that i know i can't revive that file is there anyway to delete all those pictures, downloads and all that other stuff thats about 3yrs old? That should clean the computer up, right?

 

What is the actual problem, you are trying to solve?

Is your hard drive short of space?
What size hard drive?
How much free space?
Are you simply trying to remove junk accumulated after each Internet session?
Are you trying to remove old programs that you no longer use?
When was the last time you cleared your Index.dat file/s?
Do you still wish to try and retrieve deleted files (in the Recycle Bin)?
All of the above?
How often, and when did you last do housekeeping on your hard drive?
When did you last defrag?
