need to network 2 computers using bart pe on one computer

Hi, thanks to all who helped me under the other thread (How do I make a bootable cd for xp and how do I get my files before I lose them) I have made the bootable cd with the Bart pe program and I can get to my desktop files. Now I need to access these files from my laptop through networking. I am sure that there is a simple way to do this, but right now I can't seem to think straight. I can't seem to find what I need to be able to share these files with my laptop. I hope that someone can help me with this. I have set the network up before, but I am having problem with it this time. Thanks again for any help!....Diane (hp pavilion 760, win xp, 80 gb hard drive w/20 gb free, 512 ram.)
