With the help of many of you here, I feel like I finally rid my computer of Incredimail. I ran RegSupreme, Crap Cleaner and Clean Up! and I no longer get "complete installation of Incredimail" pop-ups. However, now that I'm using OE, certain attachments (mainly picture files) won't open because it says that it needs Incredimail to open. I've searched all of the options in OE and can't find how to re-associate the attatchments to be opened by OE. Is this a sign that Incredimail is not fully uninstalled? Thanks for your help. Stephanie

must have a few associations left over, some apps just dont loose the association they have when software is un-installed.

within and folder or explorer click tools > folder options > file types and look for any of the graphic type files jpg tiff etc etc > click one to highlight then click change and re-associate the file type with a graphic program of your choice.

After much investigation, I now realize that it uses Incredimail to open attachments that are .emls (forwarded email that are attachments). I've looked through all of OE's options and don't see how I can command .emls to be opened within OE. Do you know how?? Stephanie

goto the same location I posted above Tools > Folder Options > File Types ..... locate .eml in the list of file types > click it once and choose advanced > click open in the actions box > edit

then paste this line into the C:\Program Files\Outlook Express\MSIMN.EXE" /eml:%1 application used to perform action box > just click OK until your back at the file types box then click apply.

    pics of locations..........

eml location and new box after clicking advanced

Halo, THank you sooo much! Incredimail claimed EML as it's default, so even when I edited it, it didn't work, so I actually had to delete the EML file and then create a new one with the info that you gave me. It worked great! I noticed that I had 6 other extensions on there that opened with Incredimail so I deleted them, too. I've been having the hardest time getting rid of that program, so I'm glad I found some other files. :)
    Thanks again. Stephanie
