See if you find it here in: Start/Control Panel/Add-Remove Programs.
*EDIT: To see if it's currently running, do this: To check to see if it is running, depending on your os, use the "MS Taskmanager", or Ctrl+Alt+Del and look for "WinVNC.exe" as a running process. For *inux use "ps -ax" and look for "vncserver". If it is running, kill/terminate the process. Then go to Add/Remove Programs.

Please install the CCleaner_Slim proggie I had you dl.

    Windows XP
Reconfigure Windows XP to show hidden files:
To enable the viewing of Hidden files follow these steps:

Close all programs so that you are at your desktop.
Double-click on the My Computer icon.
Select the Tools menu and click Folder Options.
After the new window appears select the View tab.
Put a checkmark in the checkbox labeled Display the contents of system folders.
Under the Hidden files and folders section select the radio button labeled Show hidden files and folders.
Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide file extensions for known file types.
Remove the checkmark from the checkbox labeled Hide protected operating system files.
Press the Apply button and then the OK button and shutdown My Computer.
Now your computer is configured to show all hidden files.

After installing CCleaner - Double-click its icon/Click the [Tools] tab/Click the [Uninstall] tab... is the program listed?

If the proggie is not listed, deleted the desktop folder... then run CCleaner again. Click on [Cleaner button]/then the [Run Cleaner] tab. Next click on the [Registry button]/ [Scan for Issues] -- have it fix all issues.

It says on the cleaner tab that it will permanently delete files from my system and the other one seems to have quite afew things on there- none of which say vnc, is it safe....Im scared cos I dont know any of the jargon and don't want to lose anything important. does this only spot what it should?

CCleaner will permanently delete all cookies and items in your Recycle Bin...you can select which cookies you wish to keep. * You can choose to do a Back-up before you fix all issues.

    You should be good-to-go afterwards.

And this will remove the program I hate in the first place?
