need to repair image

is there a program that can repair my cd images easily and efficiently?

 

What do you mean by CD images exactly (eg what format?), and what's wrong with them?

 

oh iso., cue., nrg., and the rest. they won't install cortrectly.

 

Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't think this is allowed as ISO files can be used for pirating games and other software.

If you are the owner of the software that you need help fixing the ISO's for then you can just create new ISO's using Roxio or Nero. Course if this is out of the question then you most likely are using ISO's for illegal purposes and this thread should be closed no matter what.

 

So what? So can Nero and dozens of other programs.

However, both Nero and ISO programs are legal, have valid uses, and are available from this site for download.

No one said anything about pirating, just you, so the author should be given the benefit of the doubt unless otherwise.

 

firestorm254 see if IsoBuster is what you are looking for. I've only ever used the freeware section of IsoBuster & that does not include the recovery feature.

 

hey man no problem. I know other sites don't like people talking about ISO's. Sure there are legal purposes for them but it is another one of those "iffy" topics. We all know ISOs are used for pirating games. If he is using them in a legal manor only he knows. If he is using them in a legal manor then he would also own the software he made the ISOs from and he could create new ones. This would solve his repair problem wouldn't it?

It would be pretty hypocritical of this place to ban talk of ISO's, and offer ISO tools and software.

No one mentioned pirating but you, and you aren't a Mod.

The author should be given respect and the benefit of the doubt unless you're a mind reader?


EDIT: sorry firestorm, I don't want to go off topic. I don't know of any way to repair ISO's. I have ISO Buster Pro and Ultra ISO, and they don't have that feature, nor does any other program I'm aware of.

 

well just for the record I did state "correct me if I'm wrong" so if I'm wrong which according to you I am then I'm sorry to the OP.

I did offer some help by the way. if you own the original copies that you made the ISOs from then remake them. its that easy.

 

listen i have the software on cd and own it but it is bad too. and i do not want to buy another. I don't think it is in circulation anymore.

Anyway, if you have the CD, try extracting the contents with ISOBuster.

No guarantees, but it may take a while to extract if the CD is badly damaged.
