    Hi guys

Just had another mate ring me with a problem that I think is a failing M/board but am happy to be corrected. When he turns the machine on it does nothing (no display etc.) but if he resets bios and boots everything works fine.

Initially it was just the keyboard and mouse that didn't work until the bios was reset, but now it is the display as well (onboard graphics). This is the case everyday, but the system will reboot fine once loaded.

I replaced the battery about a fortnight ago when this problem first started. It seems somewhat unlikely that the battery could have failed again that quickly, although replacing the battery did solve the issue until yesterday, or at least appeared to.

There aren't too many solutions to fix a "need to keep resetting BIOS" problem but I did find one that suggested it might be a power supply problem.

I have actually had the same issue with a clients computer, we ended up pulling the BIOS battery ... resets automatically each boot lol ... or you can put the CMOS_CLR jumper on permanently.
