need to update bios

I am wanting to install more memory and it says I have to update bios first but I dont have a floppy drive how can I do it. Office Depot told me this was the memory I needed 512MB SDRAM PC 133 SODIMM part number A016S6464-PC133.If I just install it it just keeps saying a problem occured how do you want to start. Then it list safemode or last known good configuration. No matter what you select it just keeps restarting.:confused

I downloaded it from themto up date but it says you have to have a floppy disk drive and all Ihave is a cd rom, I do have a usb stick but it wont update off of either one only A: drive which I do not have one

when I double click it opens it in dos and says please insert a floppy into drive A: and this stupid thing doesnt have one LOL Maybe its the wrong memory I dont know I told Office Depot exactly what I had and thats the memory they said I needed It runs slow so I wantedto put more memory in it says I can upgrade upto 1gig

Where are you getting the message to update BIOS? Does the new RAM stick work if you take the old one out?

 

No it doesnt work by its self. I started reading online about changing memory in a omnibook it says to update bios then change memory on a couple of web sites but I dont remember which sites
