need urgent help

    ok a few of my programs were refusing to open so i reinstalled avast and ran a boot time scan,
    some windows files were deleted and now when i boot up, i have the old style login screen (the box with my username in it) and it automatically reboots, i dont have restore disks or a copy of xp, apparently the files where infected with win32 : parite

    Start by trying safe mode, tap F8 key while booting and choose Safe Mode.. Sounds like some necessary operating system files got deleted. the deleted files may be in quarantine in the anti-virus. Backup your system to an alternative location if you can get in.

    i got it sorted in safe mode and all is working i just need to reinstall all my programs :(
