Need Video Card

Video Card in a pc at work just went berserk.
Can no longer change settings and everything is huge and distorted.
Assume it's a video card that I need.
Dont know what's in the pc yet, havent even pulled it out to take a look yet.
Dont know if it's onboard or not (or is it only onboard audio, not onboard video - hmmmm).

1) It's not for gaming, so will any video card do (if there's a slot available)?

2) If it's currently a mobo video, dont I have to disable that one in order to get the pc to recognize the new card?

3) If so, how do I do that?

First off the card may not have gone bad, could simply be a driver issue which could be resolved by installing the newest drivers
However seeing as we dont know anything about the make/model of your card its impossible for us to point you in the right direction
Please if possible download and install this handy system info app

run it and select Display and then GPU this should tell your what Video Adapter is installed, with a link to the drivers download page at the bottom, now either post the name of your video adapter here or if you feel comfortable follow the download link and select the correct drivers for your card and OS

Try the drivers first if you can, you might also want to use Everest to tell us the make/model of your motherboard
Found obviously in the Motherboard section...name
This will help us tell you wether you can in fact upgrade your video card
