NEED XP Media Center Edition 2005 Disk

Hello all.....
after many years of never having to reinstall this OS for a client, I find myself at another crossroad in that I have no disk for XP Media Center Edition 2005 and a client that needs to have the OS re-installed. I thought it was XP Home Edition (which I have) and now I'm afraid it won't let me use the license key.

Is there someplace I can download this as an ISO or does anyone have this OS? I have a valid key but am unable to get the file.....

Any help is appreciated......thanks

Hi

Sadly nowhere legit to download an ISO of this unless you have access to MSDN or Technet, but those areas tend to be used by compant IT depts and those who develop applictions, sorry I dont have XP MCE myself.

Off hand and without checking and from memory the Windows XP HE SKU (stock Keeping Unit, the codes that ID the various versons) is different to the MCE 2005 one so the licence for MCE wont work with HE.

One thought is is this PC a OEM one like HP, DELL, etc if so try them to see if they will supply/sell you a replacement.

What is the make and model of PC is from Dell, HP etc as you may have a factory restore partition on the HDD that you can use to re-install Windows MCE back to factory install?
