Ive been back and forth with Nero Tech Support on this issue for a month. Lastly two days a go I got a message that said they are turning my issue over to the developer and If I had any other questions to write back. Still no word.

    2. Second and lastly I also started having issues with Nero Vision. I open the software and get an error message that says: Unable to load Imaging subsystem. Make sure the program is installed properly...I have contacted tech support about this as well. I havent heard anything back from them as of yet. Im writing here because Im wondering if there is a flaw in the software itself and they just dont want to admit it. Ive checked the Nero Forums from the website and it seems that a great deal of people are having some of the same issues. I was wondering if anyone here could shed some light or maybe know of a hotfix for these two issues. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi

Nero is normally a rock solid burner app, but I wonder if another app is causing the problem, so boot into Safe Mode (F8 at boot and choose Safe Mode with Networking) and see how you go?

Have you tried different media (dvd cds)?

Could right click the Nero burning apps icon and choose run as aministrator and see if that helps, to be honest you should not have to do this be worth a try to try and narrow down the issue.

My antivirus is Bitdefender 2012. I've uninstalled and reinstalled this about 20 times now. That isn't the problem. I just solved the problem with Nero vision. I looked at the properties of the icon and realized that it was looking in the wrong place for the .exe file. Now it opens. I tried the samething with Nero Kwik and it's still crashing. the .NET Framwork isn't the problem either. I'm up to date with that also. I also know that it isn't the other burning softwares that I use. I've uninstalled and run nero without them, and the same issue happens.

Well I didn't use either. I purchased the disc version from a retailer and it installed the first time I installed it. Yet after a couple of weeks. I started having issues with the software. So I decided to download the version from the Nero site and use the registration key from the actual disc. It seems the issues got worse. I finally uninstalled the software from the download version, and there was still stuff left over. Then I used the disc to uninstall as well. It seems there are two different elements to the download and disc version. Once I did that, I cleaned out the registry by hand. Then reinstalled with the actual disc. Now I did have to tweak Nero Vision and Nero Kwik to run in a Windows 7 mode with administrator properties to keep them from crashing. The other items in the suite I didn't have to do that. So far I've been able to update the suite and all. If this doesn't continue to work, I will have to migrate over to Roxio which does the same things that this one does.
