Nero 8 crashing

I'm using windows xp pro sp3 and Nero 8. When I burn a dvd, it will get to 99 percent and nero will crash. I looked into the event viewer and found it has to do with msvcr80.dll, fault address 0x00014c23. I just recently burned 3 dvds without any problem. Please help.

 

I would uninstall nero, and use the clean tool, then reinstall the program. From what i've read, that dll file is installed by whatever program needs it.

Tried the cleaning tool. Popped in yet another dvd, only to have the same exact problem happen again. Nero has ruined 4 dvds now. I did however try to locate msvcr80.dll in the c:\windows\system32 directory and could not even find the dll it was having a problem with!I downloaded it from dll-files.com, and put it in the c:\windows\system directory where it said it should go. No change whatsoever.

 

try another burning program, and see if it works.
