Nero and mp3 Podcast files

When I try to take an mp3 podcast file downloaded into ITunes, and burn it to a CD audio format, Nero says the files is too big, says it is some insane amount like 144 hours, won't fit on CD. The podcast program is only about 40 minutes long! I tried converting the file to .wav, and then burn to CD, same issue.

 

If it's an mp3 file, just burn it as a data CD.

If you try to burn it as an audio CD, it won't fit as you've discovered.

 

I am familiar with data vs cd. I need to create audio cd from the mp3 as my wifes car cd player does not play mp3 cd's.
mp3 files not created by podcast have the accurate length of time and are created as audio cd without a hitch.

 

Have you tried to burn the audio CD with itunes?

Audio CD's take up heaps more room than mp3's, which are just data CD's.

That is why Nero is reporting it won't fit on the CD.

 

Attempting to burn with Itunes. When selecting a playlist, the browse button is supposed to change to the Burn button. This is not happening.
