Nero Burning Problems

i'm having some issues with this darn cd burner.... mind you all, i'm very computer illiterate.... anyways. i have sound files that i want on a CD (not songs) but everytime i go to move the file over into the burn box, it says
"the file format is not supported"

can someone explain or help or something????? do i need an update or, what do i do??

 

what type of file format are the files you are using. What type of cd are you trying to make, ie. audio data?

 

Is this your first time using Nero?
Go to nero get the latest updates and plugins.

Glad to see that you started your own thread. If you are trying to burn sound effects onto a CD, then you should choose to make an audio CD when you open Nero or Nero Express. It isn't necessary to have a blank CD of the audio type when doing this, as I have sucessfully used data CD's for this in the past. Follow the advice given above and update Nero. It would help if you would post the extensions for the files that you are trying to burn.

 

i was attempting to make an audio cd but with what i had, Nero would only let me make a data cd (which of course does not play in ones cd player). i sort of found a way around it, by playing the clips and other audio sounds on my media player and recording them with sound recorder, and saving the sound recordings. Nero will burn those recordings..... so i guess thats problem solved but it takes forever.

yes i prob. do need to update Nero, by the way.
