Nero Burning program

this is the first time i've had this problem - Nero loads ok but when i try to open it it freezes and i get the message Nero not responding - i've had this program for quite some time working well and never encountered this problem - there was no help from the Nero web site that i could find- i am running w98se recently rebooted and reloaded the programs i hope some can guide me to a solution

 

From my 98Se days, Nero does not like other programs running concurrent with it while it bustles around grabbing large chunks of memory etc etc. So the first thing I would look at is closing down all other programs you may have running at the time including backgrounders like firewalls and AVs (be off net to do that).
