Nero error

Vista Home Premium 32bit. A screen shot of a Nero Imagedrive error is attached. Normally, this wouldn't be a big deal, but I have completely uninstalled, reinstalled, and again uninstalled Nero, and the error persists. ImageDrive is listed in Add/Remove Programs, but when I go to uninstall, it says "Imagedrive is not installed on this PC" in those exact words. When the bigger error window opens and I can "check online for a solution", the result is "a solution was not found".

use nero uninstall tool and uninstall Nero completely and install a fresh copy of it:major

 

:confused Newer drivers for what? You mean just general drivers for the motherboard chipset, video, audio, etc? No, I haven't checked/installed any drivers, but I did notice that the Vista has no service pack installed, as in it's running Service Pack Zero. I'm going to install SP2 and then I'll try the Nero uinstaller suggested by jaishankar. Then I might check for drivers, or I'll at least install any drivers listed by Windows Update.

 

When I enabled the viewing of hidden devices in the device manager, the ImageDrive "device" suddenly appeared with a yellow ! exclamation point ! next to it. I simply right clicked it, selected "Uninstall", and BAM! It's gone! Even after 2-3 reboots, it's gone. So now it's just a matter of re-installing Nero, and hoping that it doesn't screw up again. However, I think the main problem was that the PC's owner installed Nero6 which is not 100% compatible with Vista. I have removed Nero6 and am now installing Nero8 and I think it will be OK now....
