Nero playing up!

Hate to be a pain again guys but desperate again. Nero 7 suddenly decided to start failing on me-transcoded for around 2 mins then told it had failed. Uninstalled and re-installed but to no avail. Replaced it with good old 6 but that gave me same problem. Guess I've done summit wrong with my reg or whatever but cant figure it out. (System restore no use either). Any ideas?

 

What are you doin burning then failing or crashing? Have you recentley change DVD drive?

 

I never use Nero to transcode anything. I'm assuming you're trying to convert and then burn a file to standard DVD format.... I tried using Nero and got TERRIBLE results, if it finished at all without errors. There's many, many, quality free applications for converting various video (and audio) formats. If you could provide more info, I'd be ahppy to help you with some links to programs that will work for you particular task, whatever that may be

 

biddy187- drive bout 3 months old but never giv this before. No. Downloaded movie and attempting to burn to disc.
dlb-u got me. Always thought Nero was 1 of, if not the best. Simply wanna download movie and stick it a disc so I can watch it on a dvd. If u know of summit better (an it's free!!!) I'd be more than happy to hear it

 

Nero is good for just a simple mount image to disc process i dont get problems with that but i have had problems with converting with it before dlb is right there try using a different converting software if its .avi you got then try something like ALL VIDEO CONVERTER or AVI TO DVD there tons of stuff out there ! But i will say i think it depends on the video decoder on nero because some films i got burnt better than others depending on the frames bitrate speed etc etc so use another prog !
