Nero PLEASE HELP..

Can someone tell me if Nero 6 supports .avi files? Is the trascoding process not converting the file to a supported file to place on DVD?? I am trying to burn vido files from my hard drive to DVD with NO LUCK! It will eject the disc without completing (error: Sorry nero encountered a problem must close) ANY help is apprciated.

 

Still need some help. I found out that Nero does not support .MOV files. Can someone tell me if I need to convert to .VOB files? What are most commonly used file extensions with Nero?

Another not avaible at MG but works great with Nero & shrink is DVD43 3.9.0 if you also run DVDFab dont let DVD43 run in your system tray at the same time ( both can be on the same machine but not run at the same time )

 

Thanks for the links, they were helpful in solving some problems, however....I am not sure why some mpgs will work and others will not, how do you go about getting an .avi and .mpg into a .vob? Do I create the VIDEO_TS folder my self, or do I need a seperate app besides Nero to author the file??

 

Still having trouble burning .mpg files from my hard drive to DVD. I am using NeroVision express 3. I have successfully made ONE DVD with multiple .mpg files but I cannot get ONE larger .mpg file to ever work. Do I need to convert files over to .vob? Can Nero do this for me?

 

Hey Kersh, Mike 406 here, Did you ever straiten out the NERO? I am now having difficulty burning avi. files to cd. Recode used to do it but I messed something up. Thank you for any help you canprovide

 

I highly recommend DVD Flick: http://www.majorgeeks.com/DVD_Flick_d5530.html It will convert your .avi and burn it (ImgBurn is built-in). I've used it a BUNCH of times (over 20) and never had a bad disc or bad burn or any problems, period. A DVD Flick how-to guide is available here: http://beginwithsoftware.com/videoguides/dvd-flick-guide.html If you decide to print it, use the landscape setting on your printer, or else the right-most 1.5 inches will be cut off. You can also try Final Burner: http://www.majorgeeks.com/FinalBurner_d5319.html It will also convert and burn (.avi and other formats converted and burned to standard DVD format). It's alot slower than DVD Flick, but it works, and all the above software is 100% free; check it out!
