Nero Recode Problem

Been using Nero for several years. Running Nero Platinum 2018 to recode MP4 to MP2 to be played on DVD player. Most recently I am having trouble recode to MP2. Will not adjust to fit DVD and if it does I receive a failure to burn to DVD message after burning. Also, if I save file to hard drive and then try to pull it up on computer it comes up in two files, Audio_TS and Video_TS. Oh, sorry, I am running Windows 10. How can I correct this please.

You need to explain further.
MP4 is a video container format while MP2 is an audio format.

 

If you want an audio file to fit on a DVD, mp3 is smaller size than mp2 because of lower bitrate.

Those are the files that you'd find on a DVD. So is the issue they are too big? Are you trying single layer or dual layered discs? Does that program give the option to 'shrink to fit' a specific disk size?

 

The program did give me the option, now it doesn't. I download from streaming, it comes thru in MP4 format, then I use Nero to recode it to MP2 so it will play on a DVD player. Just to let you know I maybe doing this incorrectly. Then I use Nero to resize if necessary and burn to DVD. It worked fine all these years until this past month or two. Now it will no resize and if it does it send a message "burn has failed." I am trying to figure out what is the problem?? Any advice??

It's possible the video stream is unsupported.
Try Format Factory to convert and reduce the MP4 file.
