??? Nero ReCode ???

This may be a noobish question, but what the heck is Nero Recode? I have been using Nero for years for various burning and media file duties, but have yet to use Recode, mainly because I have no idea what it's supposed to do. If it makes any difference, I use version 6.6.0.19b Nero Ultra; the full version with Burning ROM and NeroVision, running on XPPro SP2 fully updated... so, can anyone tell me what Recode is for? Can it make my life easier and full of joy?

Now why didn't I think of going to the Nero web site? Sometimes I overlook the obvious.

Anyway, thanks Goran.... your link was for Nero7 (I have Nero6) but it put me on the right track. Both 6 & 7 use ReCode2 but they appear to be a bit different, and the manual for the Recode2 bundled with Nero6 is quite a bit different than the one for Nero7.... no biggie... I located the right one (thanks to you ) and now I have compliacted my multimedia life just a bit more by having to learn yet another encoding application. :cool
