    Hi all,

I know nothing about ASP or .Net, but my programs use them.
Last week I installed a PCI TV tuner card, and my machine didn't like that PCI
slot. I received boot errors, and was asked to roll back to the last good config, which was that same morning.
I started receiving tons of Data Execution Prevention Errors every time I ran my online TV capture programs.
With: Event ID: 1000 - Faulting application explorer.exe, version 6.0.2900.3156, faulting module unknown, version 0.0.0.0, fault address 0x040cceb0.
So I checked in the ADD/Remove programs.
There were a few ASP and .NET/s that were not able to be removed.
Many of them have brackets with numbers:
    .NET FRAMEWORK CLR
    .NET FRAMEWORK CA
    .NET FRAMEWORK CRT
    DR WATSON
    .NET FRAMEWORK PRE XP
    .NET FRAMEWORK 2
    .NET FRAMEWORK 1
    .NET FRAMEWORK ASP .NET
    .NET FRAMEWORK WINFORMS

I ran a disk check on my C and D Drives with corrections.
Then I decided to try and reinstall all of the TV tuner programs and associated .NET files.
I used the uninstaller programs, dotnetfx_cleanup_tool to remove all .NET files.
I then started to reinstall these online TV capture programs.
The BTV (Snapstream's Beyond TV) calls for the .NET, so I let those install.
Then I went to Windows update site, and pulled the updates.
(I am not sure if I need to re-install any security updates on those or not??)

So now I was ready to run my Capture program, right? NOT! :(
It would not start. I checked in the events viewer and there were error after error -

    ... and so I am here ...

    HELP Please ASAP!

    TIA!
    ===============
I want to add something here ...
The files that can not be removed are still in the add/remove, and still can not be removed:
    .NET FRAMEWORK CLR
    .NET FRAMEWORK CA
    .NET FRAMEWORK CRT
    DR WATSON
    .NET FRAMEWORK PRE XP
    .NET FRAMEWORK 2
    .NET FRAMEWORK 1
    .NET FRAMEWORK ASP .NET
    .NET FRAMEWORK WINFORMS

Seeing as how some of these files can not be removed, is there any way to remove something to fool the install programs into reinstalling them in full?

    As an aside ...
I tried to run the sfc /scannow and my xpsp2 home asked for the xp professional disk ??? huh?
    I don't get it!

So much for the 2 month old clean install :(
    Thanks all!
