.net passport problems?

Hello everyone

this one kinda has me puzzled. i have jsut recently reinstalled xp pro. i use firefox, and when i went to chekc my hotmail account, i got the error message-

' Microsoft® .NET Passport no longer supports the Web browser version you are using. Please upgrade to a current Web browser, such as Microsoft Internet Explorer version 4.0 or later, or Netscape Navigator version 4.08 or later.'

i said alrighty then, and tried to check it with internet explorer. same message.
i have all teh updates, sp2 included. thought maybe it was a server error, tried againt the last cpl days, still no go. have also tried other .net passport sites, all of which i get the same error.
any ideas wat teh deal is?

Your problem could be that you are browsing in stealth.

 

First thing I would do is:

Reset Web Settings & Default Security Settings:


To Reset Web Settings:
Right click on your desktop Internet Explorer icon and select Properties. Then click the Programs tab and then click "Reset Web Settings". Now go back to the General tab and set your home page address to something useful like www.majorgeeks.com. Click Apply. Click Delete Cookies, Click Delete Files and select Delete all Offline content too, Click OK. When it finishes Click OK.

To Default Security Settings:
Right click on your desktop Internet Explorer icon and select Properties. Then click the Security Tab and click Default Level for Internet, Local Intranet, Trusted Sites, and Restricted Sites.

 

ahh i never even thought of the stealth browsing.. changed that setting in sygate and it works. thanks
