A few years back, my wife's netbook started running very slow while online, with two to three minutes at a time totally unresponsive to the mouse, while the hard drive LED glowed. She put it away and bought a tablet. Now I want to rehab the netbook. Last night I found Search Protect on it and updated its copy of Malwarebytes.

Malwarebytes reported 176 PUPs and 1 Malware. I left all but the Malware unchecked and clicked Quarantine. When Malwarebytes was finished it reported something like "250 of 1" threats quarantined.

That's when I finally decided to come to Major Geeks. I would prefer to use this forum, but should I run Malwarebytes again according to the instructions in this forum before running the other tools? Last night's log is attached.

Sorry, left out one detail. When I booted up this morning it was 24 minutes from pushing the power button until the hard drive LED was not glowing steadily or nearly so.

You need to run the full Read and Run First instructions and then attach the requested logs.
