Netbook/laptop recommendations

I am looking for something mid range nothing too fancy.

The ideal laptop/netbook i would want is a thin slim design under 14'' screen and with a decent battery life of around 4.5 hrs.

I have seen a couple of laptops at the moment for cheap but i don't really like the Celeron 1007U processors an much rather have a newer generation mid range i3.

Most of the use will be copying and transferring files, web, minor video editing, using the laptop in a hdmi mode in a big screen tv, and just doing presentations on powerpoint and excel.

Anyone know of something like this for around $400? i know there are some deals on laptops at the moment and i really wouldn't mind an celeron 1007u processor but the battery is of a concern to me, enough to dish out an extra $100 -$110 for 1.5 hrs more.
