NetBT.sys is invalid?? Help!!

So I came home the other day and my computer is no longer able to connect to the internet. I went through a series of troubleshooting and finally came across my "NetBIOS over TCpip". So here's what I did to get where I am.

>run
>devmgmt.msc
>view
>show hidden devices
>netbios over tcpip
>driver

From here it tells me the status is stopped. I try to start it and i get the message.

"The system encountered the following error while attempting to start the service. The specified driver is invalid."

How can I fix this? Is there a way to reinstall the protocol so it'll work? I'm lost.

 

See if this will help. You may find the NetBT.sys file in C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\I386. The blog also has a registry file you can download and double click in an admin account. After download, remove the .mp3 extension. You want to have a .reg extension only.
