    I have a bit of a problem .

I have a Netgear DM111psp which is connected to via ethernet port to a Post office broadband modem .(the router was a present )

I know the router is ADSL but it works fine via the ethernet port to the modem and i get internet access at a good speed .

I have connected wirelessly to the DM111psp without a network key or any type of encryption , so i thought next thing to do was change the network key and also put on WMA and change the router admin password

I have changed the admin password on the router with no problem so next stop was to change network key and encrypt using wma or wma2 , no problem i thought .

I for the life of me cannot find where on the router to change the ecryption and also change the network key .I Printed off the manual and it doesnt mention it anywhere .

Please help i dont want to use the wireless unless its encrypted so have gone back to ethernet cable for the moment .

    :-D

    regards,

    peter

If THIS is your Netgear, then you are connecting to someone else's wifi.
This equipment has no wireless capability.

I think you have your devices quoted here backwards or setup backwards. This is a DSL modem. It should be connected to a phone line from the wall.

After that is a router that you said was a present and is connected via ethernet. You should be connecting your computer to this device, either through ethernet or through wireless network. This is the device model you need to provide (or search) in order for you to have an answer. As lbmest pointed out, the DSL modem does not have wireless.

mmm look like i have logged into wrong unit .

The original modem which is plugged into ADSL seesm to have no wireless.I dont want to play with ADSL as it is my fathers .

The 2nd unit does have wireless but i must have logged into first one and thought it 2nd one ,got confused as they both netgear .

I will log into 2nd unit through cable and set up that way ,should be much easier .

    Thanks,

    Peter
