    I've been looking around for this as well and I can't find anything that doesnt have to do with domain authentication. You might want to try this in software section as well. Some of the software people might have a better idea.

    Is it XP?
    How many user accounts on the machine?

    When you get to the XP logon do a CTL+ALT+DEL and see if another loon screen pops up.

    Is there any way i can start that netlogon service before windows launch?

    You know.....I don't believe netlogon is even needed for a machine that is not on a domain. Its almost as if your machine is wanting to login to a domain.

    Yes, i think that so to...im trying to bypas this with win xp new instal repair option but when i need to create new account and group it only alows me to select option --(Yes make this computer a member of folowing domain) and name of my worgroup is in that box...if i change name it does nothing just keeps loading if i try select option...(no,this computer is not on a network) also just loading so it doesnt even alow me to create any other group or username
    Thats wery weird issue i have here as my pc is not member of any domain before this happen i didnt change any option all i done is i establist conection thru VPN from other laptop and loged into this one but now i cant doo even that as even if i try remote conection i get that message displayed

    PS. I checked NetLogon service on this laptop that is working fine and Netlogon is disabled but i login with out any problems so i think i should be able to login to other one aswell i basicly have pretty much same settings on both laptops

    I believe it is the domain logon that is at issue. The thing that troubles me is that you can not get into safe mode.

    The only other thing I can think of now is to go back to a working restore point. There is a way to do this using the recovery console and copying older version registry files. That is if the system restore was not turned off.

    I'll have to try and find the procedure for recovery using recovery console.

    Here is the procedure. I haven't tried it myself so take it with a grain of salt.

    Hi Jconstan,

    Sry for slow replay i was away a bit
    Thx for pointing me in correct direction recovery console didnt helped me jet but at least gave me pointer to login into windows as administrator.

    I tryed recovery console and noticed my admin password is not working there so it gave me idea to hack my admin pass someway...i searched solution and this is the manual of what i came up
    ------------------------------------------------------------------------
    1. Place your Windows XP CD in your cd-rom and start your computer (its assumed here that your XP CD is bootable as it should be - and that you have your bios set to boot from CD)

    2. Keep your eye on the screen messages for booting to your cd Typically, it will be Press any key to boot from cd

    3. Once you get in, the first screen will indicate that Setup is inspecting your system and loading files.

    4. When you get to the Welcome to Setup screen, press ENTER to Setup Windows now

    5. The Licensing Agreement comes next - Press F8 to accept it.

    6. The next screen is the Setup screen which gives you the option to do a Repair.

    It should read something like If one of the following Windows XP installations is damaged, Setup can try to repair it

    Use the up and down arrow keys to select your XP installation (if you only have one, it should already be selected) and press R to begin the Repair process.

    7. Let the Repair run. Setup will now check your disks and then start copying files which can take several minutes.

    8. Shortly after the Copying Files stage, you will be required to reboot. (this will happen automatically you will see a progress bar stating Your computer will reboot in 15 seconds

    9. During the reboot, do not make the mistake of pressing any key to boot from the CD again! Setup will resume automatically with the standard billboard screens and you will notice Installing Windows is highlighted.

    10. Keep your eye on the lower left hand side of the screen and when you see the Installing Devices progress bar, press SHIFT + F10. This is the security hole! A command console will now open up giving you the potential for wide access to your system.

    11. At the prompt, type NUSRMGR.CPL and press Enter. Voila! You have just gained graphical access to your User Accounts in the Control Panel.

    12. Now simply pick the account you need to change and remove or change your password as you prefer. If you want to log on without having to enter your new password, you can type control userpasswords2 at the prompt and choose to log on without being asked for password. After you ve made your changes close the windows, exit the command box and continue on with the Repair (have your Product key handy).

    =====================================================

    THis isnt complete solution as changing/reseting my pass didnt alow me to launch recovery console jet but i did manage to login in windows as administrator....when i loged in i noticed that my group is gone and my username is deleted but i did noticed that all folders related to that user name are still there...also no program was working like someone done huge clean up inside jet all files are present just dead.
    I cannot create any user accounts and my restore points in system tools are gone...im also getting pile of dll errors and add/remove programs window is empty

    My next step is disabling userpass check for recovery console:
    ====================================================
    Start | Run | Regedit
    Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsNT\CurrentVersion\Setup\RecoveryConsole
    Set the DWORD SecurityLevel value to 1
    Exit Registry and Reboot
    =======================================================

    OK recovery console didnt work so i will try restoring deleted user accounts

    My fight for freedom will continue here.....

    Not sure wich one i should place here so im adding both = :-D:cry

    Yes i done repair few times (problem occured before this that was just desparate atempt to solve it) until i discovered step 10 that 1 ending up solving my problem...only thing i needed make new user account and take ownership of all files from previous account that goes for emails etc..

    strange thing all files from previous account and group were there just not listed so i needed take ownership of all also there was more then 10000 wrong registry entryes i fixed all those to with reg fix and litle patience
