This morning I was using netscape 7.1. I closed the window and when I went to reopen it, it would not open. I rebootd and that did not work. I restored my system to an earlier time and that did not help. I downloaded the new version on netscape (8) and clicked the circle that asked if I wanted to move my bokkmarks and cookies to the new version but they didn't move. When I opened the new version there were no bokkmarks there.

I need to know how to access my bookmarks in the old 7.1 version so I can move them to either explorer or the new version on netscape OR how do I access them so I can save them in a folder somewhere so they don't get lost if netscape graps out like it did today.

    HELP!

(A friend told me that if I am an attractive Woman I will get more help so for the person that helps me solve this problem I have some nice photos Smile)

bookmarks for netscape are usually stored at this location C:\Program Files\Netscape\Users\<your user name> and in a file named bookmark.htm so you can save that file to a new location in case NS craps out!

ps. thats the best footer I've seen in ages as it will attract some attention for photos? ;)

When I follow C:\Program Files\Netscape there is no folder that says User name or my name. Any suggestions?

Run a search of your computer Start --> Search (win XP) Start --> Find --> Files And Folders (win 9x) for bookmark.

yeah as Mada Mitty suggested plus give us some background info like Operating System version?

you also may find that those locations are hidden if using XP and you will need to un-hide them, just goto Tools > Folder options > View > and tick show hidden files and folders then search again
