good morning all. I recently purchased a recycled laptop, that has many issues. biggest being the wireless won't work, the network adapter is missing out of the device manager. I purchased a usb style and I am presently using it, but it still bugs me that I cannot figure out how to get the original eqipment working. Anybody wanna try and help? Please.

    Greetings, harrist.

I'd suggest downloading and reinstalling the chipset and network adapter drivers from the machine's manufacturer: what are the model/type/service tag #s for your laptop? Also, what OS and service pack # are you running?

Hello and thank you for the reply. It is a fujitsu lifebook E series E8410. The os is Vista home premium 32 bit service pack 2. the part number on back of laptop is cp335634 and product # is fpc07252al, I hope this what you need. Anything at all would be appreciated.

@ harrist: I'm having a little trouble with finding your model: need to know if you have Intel or nVidia graphics - you might try going to this page, plug in the machine's specifics, and you should be presented with a list of applicable files - if you have any questions about the downloads, post the links/info here, and we can try to help you out.

Look for a physical on/off switch for the wireless.

hey thanks for the link and support, what I have found out thus far is it has intel graphics and that in the bios setup is an option to turn wireless on and off. Thats the crappy part, I dont have a password to get into it, any idea how to bypass it?

Do I copy that the BIOS is password protected? If so, then that can turn out to be trouble - you can try pulling the CMOS battery for a few minutes or resetting any related jumper, if you can access that area of the motherboard.
