Network Adapter.

This is waking my desktop up from sleep all the time. I read to check the box which says under power management to check the box which says to allow this to turn this PC off - so I did.
It still does it.
I found it under event viewer.
Is there some way I can stop this from awaking my PC so often?

You can use Device Manager to change the power management settings for a network adapter. To disable this setting in Device Manager, expand Network Adapters, right-click the adapter, click Properties, click the Power Management tab, and then clear the Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power check box.
In Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2, you have two additional check boxes on the Power Management tab for the Network Adapter that defines whether this device can wake the computer:

• Allow this device to wake the computer
• Only allow a magic packet to wake the computer

Otherwise I looked in computer-manage-devices , and from my desktop I saved this , it should be the answer

 

Right click the image and you can see a switch that will allow/not allow card to switch pc on/off
Was that the way you did it ?- mine does not do it, as I have that box unticked.
