Device Manager indicates the following for Network adapters:
    Microsoft ISATAP Adapter
    Microsoft ISATAP Adapter #2
    Microsoft Teredo Tunneling Adapter
    Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller
All but the Realtek have the yellow diamond with exclamation point and these three indicate that "This device cannot start. (Code 10)".

Since these are not able to start, can I either disable them or uninstall them or will that cause some other problem?

I am running another program that is having an issue with the fact that I have two network adapters. My thinking is that if these three were disabled or uninstalled it would solve that issue.

Are they enabled in Device Manager? Are they set to disabled, manual, or automatic in Local Services?

Device manager indicates under "Properties" that each one states "This device cannot start. (Code 10)" for the Microsoft items. The Realtek indicates "This device is working properly."

Well you can try disabling the 2 network adapters you do have, and re-enabling them one-by-one. You will probably end up having to sort out the two network adapter issue, that could easily cause a conflict. If that doesn't work, do you have a USB WiFi adapter to try? Also, do you get internet if you plug directly in with ethernet cable?

What does it say in MSConfig?

Where in MSConfig do I look?

ipconfig shows the Realtek asthe Ethernet adapter for Local Area Connection 4.

If this is Connection 4, how to I look at the Connections 1 through 3?

Hi my friend , welcome to MG's :major

Do you have a laptop or a desktop ?

Laptop tips : at the bottom of the laptop a sticker is located with model's number
Desktop : on the case of the desktop a sticker is located with model's number

maybe you must install the network adapter drivers :wave

Just make sure the associated services for those devices are running. Did you try disabling both adapters and re-enabling them one at a time in DM?

Idea: even if the driver is current, try hunting around for it anyway-- a re-install could recover it if it somehow became corrupted (though I imagine that would show up in DM).

Thank you for your help, but I would like to disable them from being recognized. My concern is to have only one adapter and not have other programs recognize the others.

So how do I hide them from discovery or would this cause some other issue?

I am not using Zone Alarm or need at this time for IPv6.
