network and printer trouble

    i have a home net work, and i cant get my printer to be shared. how do i share it? i have a gateway with windows xp media center sp3 (Computer1), and it has the printer connected to it. the computer is wired directly to my router (netgear WGT624 v3). So now im trying to share my printer with the laptop ((dell inspiron 1000)computer2) that is connected to my network wirelessly. i have been looking online and i cant find any answers. please help

    I believe you'll find many detailed instructions using "printer sharing xp" search in Google. If I had time I'd copy and paste them.

    right click on the printer and share it.

    goto computer 2 - start> run> type\\nameofcomputer1
    An explorer will open and you'll have the printer there. Double click on it to add it.


    If this doesn't work, check the workgroup is the same and the firewall allows netbios.
