Hi, I have just been reading your resonses to people loosing their internet connections and network probs, I have similar probs, I wonder if you have any ideas for helping me thankyou.

    1. I m running Windows XP, desktop hard wired
    2. Was running fine, turned on next day and informed Network Cable Unplugged
    3. No Unplugged cables, and network interenet running fine on hard wired laptop and wireless laptop.
    3. In command ran IPconfig /all - IP Routing now enabled-yes (read your registry piece)
    4. Using PING in command prompt no feedback from internet web sites
    5. Uninstalled Firewall
    6. Uninstalled Internet Explorer 8 and re-Installed
    7. As Network Card is intergrated on motherboard, turned off in Bios, turned PC on and off 2 times to clear, then re enabled it.

I think thats about it, any ideas, thanks

    Hi

While you may have done some of this already there maybe a few steps you may not have http://support.microsoft.com/kb/910389 main bit from this and I have had this happen to me in the past, does your motherboard have 2 ethernet controllers, disable the one your not using.

Also did you update your network drivers just before this happened? could have been the cause so roll back the driver, if not the driver may have gotten corrupted so reinstall latest driver from the maker.
