    They do work, but are slow if you only have USB1 available. You have to use one of the pc USB ports, you can't plug into a hub.

    All in all you are better spending a pound or so more and getting a proper LAN card.

    i agree with studiot- get a standard network card. If opening your computer case to install one scares you, don't worry- there's plenty of folks here willing to walk you through it.
