    hello

microsoft windows xp, service pack 2.

    i have three questions:

1- is there any way to remove this two folders in "my computer"? the folders are "shared documents" and "USERNAME's documents"

2- can i stop microsoft windows from creating shortcuts to shared folders in the "my network places"? it creates shortcuts like "shared_folder_name on computer_name"

3- why doesnt the microsoft windows firewall block\not replay to ping's?

    thanks!

    1. Yes as far as the Shared Folder just follow these instructions but remember to backup the registry or at least the KEYs involved, unless you are confident enough that you wont mess stuff up http://www.winguides.com/registry/display.php/1220/

Dunno about USER folder especally if its the admins folder, I would be weary of what other things deleting that folder may cause to other software or even the OS... maybe one of my forum collegues would advise on this?

    3. Its still beta ( SP2 is a RC2 at present ), so who know if that will be implemented or not in the final.
