Hello...not too computer savvy, but my Network Drive (public on server 1) was originally the F drive. Approximately one week ago it has changed on it's own to Z. Now, today it changed to Y and duplicated itself. So i have a Z and Y drive with the same content.

Does anyone have an idea as to why this would happen?

(Assuming a corporate environment...) Has your AD user account manager changed your profile to have a "Home folder" of a different drive letter?

When you plug Flash drives and other type of Drives they usually assume the first lowest Drive letter that is free above C.

In time with plugging and unplugging the letters assignment cab get confused and one drive can out the letter of another drive.

Always give to your Network Mapped Drive high letters so that the changes that occur down the list would Not affect them.

As for the drive in question Unmap, and remap it with a a new high Letter like N.

    Hello...
We do not have an AD here at work. The computer maintenance is pretty much left up to me unless we have a tech come in.

I have not plugged in any flash drives.

I have unmapped and remapped the drive. I'm still not sure how this occured. Thank you for your responses.
