I have recently set up a network with my Windows XP computer and my daughters Windows 98 computer using a crossover cable. We are able to file share and she has internet access through my computer which is a cable modem. The only problem that we have found is email access. I have been told that we should be able to check and send email from both machines. When trying to send mail from my daughters computer there is a message: Host SMTP could not be found. Verify you have entered server name correctly. Account POP3 Server SMTP Protocol SMTP Port 25 Secure SSL No. Socket error 11001 Error # 0x800ccc0d. When turning on Outlook Express there were 2 messages, the previous one and 1 for incoming also. It was the same but the port was 110 and it was POP3. This one no longer is showing up, and she is receiving some incoming mail but not all, and if it shows up on the XP computer it won't be on the 98 computer and vice versa. I figure I don't have something configured right but don't know what, everything looks ok. In setting up the email on the 98, I matched the settings on the XP.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated, then my daughter would not have to hop from 1 computer to the other.

    Thanks, Jim
