Well, its been 6 years since I have been behind 98 but if my memory serves me it's no different than 2000 and XP, minus the password that 98 offers. Right click the drive or folder you want to share and click sharing. It will ask you what you want to name the share and what the password is. Then from the other computer, go to Network Neighborhood (Windows 98) you will see the other computer by Netbios name, click it and then the shared resource. Type the password and you are in. One addition, you must make sure that both computers are in the same workgroup. That can be accessed by the network properties of the adapter you are using, ie.... ethernet card. All that is, is a common name like MSHOME or MYNETWORK, just make sure both computers have the same one.

ps. how are you connecting your 1721 routers? Through a DTE/DTC serial cable or a second Ethernet card?

    good luck
