    Hi

Can be difficult to diagnose a random event but any issues if you boot to Safe Mode with Networking? also try in Device Manager right click the network adapters and choose properties then Advanced tab and look down the list for Speed and Duplex and change from Auto to 100Mpbs Full Duplex and reboot and test.

    Thanks DavidGP

I set both connections to 100Mpbs Full Duplex at the moment and I will wait to see if it happens again from there. Being it only happens once in a blue-moon and normal running diagnostic on the network fixes it and if not a 1 to 3 resets of the pc fixes it.

Never rebooted windows 10 in any version of safe mode yet.. I guess time to google how to enable it and try it out, but this pc had same issue with windows 7 with the same thing listed above fixed it and window 7 never had any issues seeing network when booted up in safe mode with networking.

Question: would there be any reason I wouldn't want to set Speed and Duplex to 1 Gbps Full Duplex verse 100Mpbs Full Duplex ?
    Just wondering..

Thanks for your time and help

    Ok
So far that one issues has not come back as of yet, only thing that has come up is since I set to 100Mpbs Full Duplex I do not see internet speeds past 15Mbps, status shows connection is @ 100Mbps , even ran my isp speed test from this pc gave bellow 15/15 and while other pc is seeing my full 85Mbps/80Mbps when tested.

So I set the card to 1 Gbps Full Duplex, and now every thing is run normal.. Now with this in mind could that be the built in nic issue or driver issue?

    so I set it to:
10Mbps full duplex speed test shows o.08 Mbps Down and timed out on up
100Mbps full duplex speed test shows 1.45 Mbps Down and upload little above 15Mbps
1 Gig full duplex speed test shows 83 over 85 Mbps

So I'm confused now since what I know about networking is blown out of the window when I run into this type of error.

Only thing I have done was down load the latest drivers then wiped out the old ones and uninstalled the nic and reinstalled from scratch with same results.

    I put foot into mouth:

Started up pc and got following error which was fixed by rebooting pc.

Running a repair or disable and enable , /flushdns, /renew completed properly but made no difference..
All ready removed and reinstalled driver for nic that built in the motherboard .. Windows 10 pro rest was done no change. This was digital upgrade from windows 7 Ult. I have no hard copy of windows 10 pro disk to get Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) files off it.

    Any idea's?

You can get a copy of the Windows 10 DVD using the Media Creation Tool (I prefer ISO image for what to create and use the Download tool now button)
    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/software-download/windows10
Is there some reason you didn't use the Restore network protocols to default settings entry?

Well I didn't make it that far to do that just yet:

I tried the following so far and Method 2 fixed the issue atm.

Nothing is better than having the installation DVD if you ever need it!
