Network Location Awareness service failed to start

    Hi

    Is this the same PC as in this thread HERE if so and still infected you'll need to complete the read me.

    Do you have multiple accounts on the PC?

    What version of Windows is this? Vista or Windows 7 and is it fully upto date?

    Have you been tweaking the services, using say the guide from BlackViper?



    One thing is and if you have malware or had it on your PC and its not fully removed is to complete your thread linked to above or if different machine to start a new thread in malware and follow the guide and attach the logs.

    If your PC is what you would suspect as ok, then try this, click Start and type cmd in the Start Search box and when cmd shows in the list righ click it and choose Run as Administrator then type this netsh winsock reset and hit enter.

    Then try again.

    Hi Halo :)

    No, this thread was to my friend :)

    my windows version is windows 7 ultimate 64bit and windows update service is running at background and download update automatically I think it is fully uptodae.

    No I haven't tweaking the services,


    ok I will do that and I will do full system scan by kaspersky removal tools. and I will tell you what will happen with me.

    yes I have 2 accounts one is administrator and another is standard users with parental control.

    I did first step. I open CMD as administrator and type netsh winsock reset and click enter after that I got this message

    Sucessfully reset the Winsock Catalog.
    You must restart the computer in order to complete the reset.

    after that I did restart for my PC and go to services.msc to start network Location Awareness but doesn't work :(
